 Our South Fork Base Camp is the nicest, best equipped camp on the river. Keeping the "wilderness" side of the river trips but having some of the niceties of life. Our camp is located right on the banks of the South Fork of the American river, near Coloma, on 20 acres, is only used by guests that raft with us and is not a public camp area. We have equipped it with full bathroom that have hot showers, flush toilets, sinks and mirrors. We have a sunken sand volleyball court, along with horseshoe pits, basketball, and ping pong just in case you did not get enough exercise during the river trip. Our camp store is loaded with t-shirts, sweat shirts, hats, snacks, camping items and much more.
Our new gathering area is right next to the store and was designed for you to hang out and relax after your river trip, watch river videos, cool down with a shaved ice cone or iced latte and reminisce about your adventure.

Dear Norm and Staff:
We just returned from one of your river adventures. We organized it as a "Family Trip" but it was actually my mom's 65th birthday surprise. I can't tell you how much fun we all had, let alone the thrilling whitewater experience. This weekend with your company created one of the greatest family memories ever. My family was worried about "roughing it" camping but when they saw your facilities they were very impressed, especially with the new bathrooms and hot showers. The separate camp areas with the lunch lawn made camping more up-scale. We are looking forward to our "second" annual family trip with you and your company next year and we have even more family that want to come after the talk of this past trip.
