Dear Norm and Staff, I just wanted to take a moment and thank you guys for your hospitality on the Aprill 22 rafting trip. We were knocked out by your company's great attitude and friendliness. I came with two other fellow youth ministers (Butch Ellis & Mark Faul) to get a feel for what happens on the water. We also wanted to check out your camping facilities and the area. Were expecting this big sales pitch and a "hurry up, get'em in get'em out" attitude, but what we received was a very pleasant surprise.

Our river guide was Don (fire fighter) and he was very encouraging and enjoyable to talk with. All of the guides we met were very unpretentious and sociable. After speaking with Ann and Mike (El Diablo) and a few others we are very excited about bring our youth groups to this event! I also wanted to thank you for the great lunch and the giving spirit we noticed. It was neat to see the guides also preparing the lunch....very humbling. I would like to go on and on telling you how overwhelmed we were with your staff and company, but I am feeling very redundant. Let me close by saying I will recommend your company to anyone I know who is planning a trip of this nature. God Bless,
Wm. Curtis Holtzen, Monrovia, CA

This is a luxury white water rafting California and camping adventure you’ll never forget! Request a Reservation

On the following morning, we'll engage the lower and largest rapid, "Quarter Mile," which requires our scouting of the rapid prior to entering. We'll also have to carry the rafts (portage) around North Fork Falls, which is an un-runnable 25-foot waterfall. The we will have a lazy float into Bagby, which is the the conclusion of your California river rafting trip. The un-dammed nature of the Merced River causes water levels to change swiftly. The lower section of the Quarter Mile rapid become far too dangerous for white water rafting California at times. If this is the case, we will repeat the upper 22 miles.

What it's like - Merced California river rafting near Yosemite National Park
Crystal clear cascades like "Nightmare Island," "Grand Slam," and the giant "Ned's Gulch" is only a few of the rapids in this 18-mile stretch of the river. During the spring the Merced River really roars. The California river rafting rapids become almost non-stop and require paddling crews that are experienced or adventurous California river rafting first timers, and all need to be in good physical condition for this demanding trip. Also during the spring, the Merced's canyon floor is blanketed with wildflowers. California poppy, redbud, and lupine make this area a very beautiful setting.
